An extremely delicious and rich paneer dish that is
definitely a must try
Serves 4-5
Ingredients
300 gms paneer
2 medium onions, chopped
3 medium tomatoes, pureed
1 capsicum, cut into cubes
1 small onion, cut into cubes
8-10 cashews
2 tsp ginger garlic paste
1 tsp red chili paste
1 tsp green chili paste
½ cup cream
2 tbsp kasuri methi
1 tsp haldi
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp dhana jeeru powder
1 tsp garam masala powder
3 tbsp ghee
Salt to taste
Grind together
4 cardamom pods
6 lavang
2 inch cinnamon
2 bay leaves
4 dagad phool
Method:
Heat ghee in a vessel. Fry the cubed onion and capsicum and keep aside. Fry the onions till golden brown. Add the cashews and tomatoes and cook well.
Add in the ginger garlic paste, red chili paste and green chili
paste. Fry well. Cool this mixture and grind to a fine paste.
Heat some more ghee. Fry the ground dry spices. Add the
haldi, red chilli powder, dhana jeeru powder and garam masala powder.
Add the onion-tomato paste to this. Add the fried cubed
onion and capsicum. Add the kasuri methi. Add salt.
Cook till the ghee starts to come on top of the surface. Now
add the fresh cream and mix well.
Add the cubed paneer. Let it simmer on slow flame for
another 5-10 mins.
Serve hot with chapati or naan.
