Bhuna Chicken

 

Serves 4-5


Ingredients:

500 gms chicken with bones

2 onions, chopped and fried

4 tomatoes, pureed

1 capsicum, diced and fried

1 small onion, diced and fried

Haldi 1 tsp

Red chilli powder - 1 tsp

Meat masala - 2 tsp

Dhana jeeru powder - 1 tsp

Garam masala powder - 1 tsp

Ghee 3-4 tbsp

Jeeru - 1 tsp

Ginger garlic paste - 2 tsp

Kasuri methi - 2 tsp

Paste of 10 cashews and 10 almonds

Salt to taste

 

Method:

 

Marinate chicken with salt and pepper and haldi. Fry till golden brown. Remove and keep aside

 

Heat ghee. Add jeeru. Add the finely chopped onion and fry till light pink.

 

Add ginger garlic paste. Add haldi, red chilli powder, meat masala and dhana jeeru powder.

 

Add 4 puree of chopped tomatoes. Fry till tomatoes become mushy. Add salt. Add kasuri methi.

 

Add fried capsicum and onion. Add the cashew almond paste. Add garam masala powder. Cook well.

 

Now add the fried chicken and let it simmer for about 5-7 mins.

 

Serve hot with roti or naan.
