Serves 4-5
Ingredients:
500 gms chicken
1/2 bunch kothmir,
optional. If you don't like a white colour gravy you can use kothmir to add a
light green color to the gravy
3 chillies
3 medium onions, fried
2 tsp ginger garlic paste
10-12 cashews
15-20 peanuts
1 tsp white sesame seeds
1 tsp poppy seeds
2 tsp garam masala powder
3 tsp crushed kasuri methi
4-5 tbsp curd
Salt
Method:
Make paste of chilli,
coriander and onion. Marinate the chicken in with ginger garlic paste for
atleast 2 hours.
Heat oil. Add the chicken
and fry on both sides till done. Remove from flame.
In the same oil, add the
onion-coriander paste and cook well.
Now make a paste of
cashews, peanuts, sesame seeds and poppy seeds. Add this paste to the marinade
and cook well. Add salt.
Add well beaten curd. Add
kasuri methi. Add the cooked chicken. Now mix well and simmer for about 8-10
mins.
Once oil starts to come on
the surface add garam masala powder and mix well. Simmer for another 5-6 mins.
Switch off the flame.
Serve hot with chapati or
naan.
