This can be made to with Veg Fried Rice in my earlier post
Ingredients:
For Manchurian:
1 medium cabbage, shredded
2 medium carrots, shredded
1 capsicum, chopped to small pieces
3-4 green chillies, finely chopped
2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
5-6 tbsp cornflour, for binding
Oil, for frying
Salt to taste
For Gravy:
4-5
garlic, finely chopped
1 bunch
chopped spring onion
1
capsicum, cut into thin long strips
2
cooking spoons soya sauce
1
cooking spoon chili sauce
2 tbsp
corn flour mixed with 1 cup water
2 tbsp
oil
Salt
Method:
For Manchurian:
Mix all the ingredients well. Keep aside for 10-15 minutes. (The
mixture will become moist due to the water content of the cabbage. This will
make it easier to make the balls). If you feel that the mixture is too wet, add some more cornflour for binding.
Make small balls.
Now heat oil in a non-stick pan or kadhai.
Insert the balls with a spoon (as they will be soft. You
might be able to insert with your hand) in hot oil. This will make sure that
the mixture does not stick to the vessel.
Remove once golden brown.
For the Gravy:
Heat oil in a vessel. Fry garlic till golden brown.
Add chopped spring onions to this and cook well.
Add chopped capsicum to this and cook well.
Add the soya sauce and chili sauce and mix well.
Let it cook for 5-10 mins. Now add little water to this (do
not add too much water as we will also be adding corn flour mixed with water)
Now add the corn flour mixture to this and stir continuously
till the mixture thickens.
Add Manchurian balls to this for atleast 2-3 hours before
serving.
