Soya Chunks

Hello,

Soya is one of the most nutritious foods for vegetarians. It is high in proteins. Vegetarians should make it a point to consume as they do not get sufficient proteins as non-vegetarians get from consuming meat.

This is a dry dish that can be eaten as a snack or served as a side dish.

Soya Chunks

Ingredients
1 packet Nutrela soya chunks
8-10 curry leaves
2 tsp ginger garlic paste
2 maggi cubes.
1 ½  tsp haldi
1 ½ tsp red chili powder
2 tsp tawa masala
2 tsp kitchen king masala
2 tbsp oil
2-3 tbsp water
Salt to taste

Method:

Soak soya chunks in hot water till soft. Squeeze the water and wash in cold water. Wash them 3-4 times while squeezing in cold water *this helps to remove the typical smell that comes in soya).

Heat oil in a pan. Add curry leaves and ginger garlic paste and cook for 5-7 mins.

Now add water to this to make paste like consisitency.

Add the chunks to this along with all the masala’s mentioned (except maggi cubes).

Stir well until all the chunks coated with masala. Keep on medium flame till 15 mins.

Open and add maggi cubes (always mash the cubes before adding them to any dish. It helps them
dissolve better) and add this to the chunks. Keep covered and stir occasionally. Sprinkle little water if you feel they are too dry. This will help to keep them soft.

Once they are soft you can open the pan to let the water dry.

Serve hot.
