Hello,
This recipe is extremely simple to make especially when you need to cook the meat separately and add it some gravy.
Ingredients:
250 gms chicken/mutton (with bones or boneless)
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
1 tsp red chili paste
1 tsp haldi
1 tsp jeera seeds
1 tsp dhana-jeera masala
1 tsp tandoori chicken masala or meat masala (this is optional.
Even without this masala, the meat will turn out to be tasty)
2 tbsp oil
Salt to taste.
Method:
Marinate the chicken/mutton with all the above mentioned masala’s except jeera seeds for around 15-20 minutes (the more time you leave it to marinate, the meat is able to absorb the spices better). Heat oil in pressure pan and add jeera seeds to this.
Let the jeera seeds splutter.
Now add the marinated chicken/mutton to this and cover lightly with lid for 5-10 mins, stirring occasionally. Add water to make gravy as per your requirement.
Now close the lid and cover it with the cooker whistle.
For chicken, keep for 1 whistle and on slow flame for about 10 mins.
For mutton, keep for 1 whistle and on slow flame for about 15 mins.
Open the cooker once the pressure is released and server with chapati or bread or rice.
