Simple Chicken Korma

An aromatic and delicious, yet easy to cook chicken recipe.

Serves 4-5 people

Ingredients:
500 gms chicken, washed and slit
6 red chillies, slit and de-seeded
1 tsp melon seeds
10 cashews
1 tsp khus khus seeds
1 tsp till seeds
2 tsp kasuri methi
2 medium onions, cut and fried til golden brown
2 tsp ginger garlic paste
1 tsp garam masala
1.5 tsp shan korma masala (or any other korma masala)
Salt to taste
4-5 tbsp Oil

Method:

Marinate the chicken with ginger garlic paste for about 3-4 hours or overnight.


Dry roast the red chilies, melon seeds, cashews, til seeds, khus khus seeds, kasuri methi. Let it cool.


Grind the red chilies first. To this add the rest of the roasted mixture and grind to fine powder consistency.


Grind fried onion.


Add above mixture to this grind onion mixture and cook for about 5 mins.


Add shan korma masala and garam masala and mix well.


Add the marinated chicken to this.

Add little water if you feel the mixture is too dry.

Cook well till the chicken is tender.


Serve hot with naan or chapatti.
