Sali Chicken

A simple and crunchy way to cook chicken

Ingredients:
500 gms chicken
2 tbsp curd
1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
2 medium onions, finely chopped.
2 medium onions, grated or pureed
1 bay leaf,
1 cardamom
3 cloves
4-5 crushed pepper corns
1 tsp haldi
1 tsp red chilli powder
2 tsp chicken or any meat masala
Salt to taste
2 tbsp oil
Water as required

Method:

Marinate the chicken with curd for atleast 3-4 hours or preferably overnight.

Heat oil. Add whole garam masalas and stir for about a minute.

Now add the chopped onion and fry till golden brown.

Add haldi, red chilli powder, chicken masala and cook for about 3-4 minutes.

Now add the tomato and cook till the raw smell disappears.

Add the marinated chicken and salt and cook well till chicken is tender. Add water as per the consistency of your liking.

Remove from fire and serve with sali (potato sticks) on top.


PS: If you don’t have sali, you can also serve with crushed wafers on top.
