An extremely delicious restaurant style paneer dish that is
so simple to make at home.
Serves 4-5
Ingredients
500 gms paneer, diced
3 tomatoes
3 onions
10 cashews
1 tsp poppy seeds
1 tsp khus seeds
1 tsp melon seeds
2 tsp ksauri methi, roasted and crumbled to fine powder
1 tsp haldi
2 tsp red chilli powder
2 tsp garam masala powder
3 tbsp oil
2 tbsp butter
3 tbsp whipped cream
1 tsp cornflour

Method
Heat oil. Fry the onions till golden brown. Add the tomatoes
and cook well till raw smell disappears and the tomatoes are soft and mushy.
Add all the dry masalas and salt and cook well for about 3-4
mins. If its too dry, add bit of water.
Once done, remove form flame and let it cool down..
Grind the cashews, melon seeds, poppy seeds and khus seeds
in a mixture. Keep aside.
Now grind the cooled onion-tomato mixture to a fine paste.
Add a bit of water if its too thick.
Heat butter in pan. Now add onion tomato mixture to this and
cook well for about 10-15 mins.
Now add the dry cashew and seeds powder and mix well. Add a
bit of water if the gravy is too thick.
Now add the crushed kasuri methi and cook for about 3-4
mins.
Now add the cream to this gravy. Ensure you whip the cream
with cornflour in a separate bowl and then add it to the gravy.
Let it simmer for about 5 mins. Add the paneer pieces to
this gravy at least 40-45 mins before serving.
Serve hot with naan or paratha.
