I had a bottle of nachni flour at home and wanted to make
something healthy and delicious at the same time. After a bit of pondering
about, I thought about all the other flour (atta) barfi’s that we usually eat.
That’s when I decided to make barfi out of this nachni atta.
Makes about 20
pieces of 1.5 inch each
Ingredients:
¾ cups of nachni flour
1 cup of jiggery
¼ cup crushed peanuts
100 gms mawa
3 tbsp ghee
Almond for garnish
Method:
Dry roast the nachni atta till it changes color and starts
giving out an aroma. This should take about 10-12 mins. Keep aside
Heat ghee in vessel. Add the jiggery and cook till it
completely melts.
Now add the mawa and mix well it complete dissolves. Now add
the crushed groundnuts and mix for about 1-2 mins.
Now add the roasted nachni atta and mix well. Keep the flame
low.
Continue mixing this for about 7-8 mins.
Switch off the flame
Grease a thali or small metal box. Add this mixture to the
greased vessel.
Make cuts for pieces of your choice.
Let it cool outside first and then keep in fridge for about
2-3 hours.
Delicious barfi is ready to be served.
