Another yummy and tasty Chinese style chicken
Ingredients:
For marinade:
½ kg chicken
2.5 tbsp maida
1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
2 tsp soya sauce
1 tsp vinegar
2 tsp red chilli sauce
1 tsp green chilli sauce
2 tsp schezwan chutney/sauce (I use the readymade chutney
available in market)
Salt
For gravy:
2 finely chopped onion
1 bunch spring onion
1 tsp soya sauce
1 tsp red chilli sauce
2 tsp tomato ketchup
1 tsp schezwan chutney/sauce
2 tbsp oil
Salt
Water, for making the consistency of gravy of your choice.
Method:
Wash and drain chicken. Marinate with ingredients mentioned
under ‘marinade’ for about 3-4 hours (I always marinate overnight).
Heat oil in a pan or wok. Add the squared onion as well the
onion portion of the spring onion and fry well till golden brown.
Add the sauces mentioned under ‘gravy’ and cook well.
Add the marinated chicken and add water as per the
consistency required.
Cover and cook well till chicken is tender.
Serve with Rice or Noodles.
