An easy to cook Chinese style chicken.
Ingredients:
For marinde:
½ kg chicken
2.5 tbsp maida
1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
2 tsp soya sauce
1 tsp vinegar
2 tsp red chilli sauce
1 tsp green chilli sauce
1 tsp pepper powder
Salt
For sauce
2 medium onion, cut in squares
1 capsicum, cut in small squares
1 small bunch spring onions
2 tbsp oil
Salt
Water, for making the consistency of gravy of your choice.
Method:
Wash and drain chicken. Marinate with ingredients mentioned
under ‘marinade’ for about 3-4 hours (I always marinate overnight).
Heat oil in a pan or wok. Add the squared onion as well the
onion portion of the spring onion and fry well till golden brown.
Add capsicum to this and cook till capsicum becomes crisp.
Now add the marinated chicken to this and add water only as
and when required.
Cover with lid and cook till chicken becomes tender and you
have the desirable consistency of the gravy.
Garnish with chopped spring onion (the green stem).
Serve hot with Rice or Noodles.
