Chicken Masala

Simple and delicious way to cook chicken.
Serves 4-5

Ingredients:
500 gms chicken
2 medium sized onions, chopped and fried.
2-3 tomatoes, chopped.
2 tsp ginger garlic paste
2 tsp red chilli paste
2 tsp haldi
2 tsp dhana jeeru powder
2 tbsp chicken masala (any brand will do)
5-6 curry leaves
2-3 green chillies, roughly chopped
Coriander for garnishing
Salt
Oil

Method:

Marinate the chicken with salt, ginger garlic paste and red chilli paste for about 30-45 minutes. Add oil in vessel and add the marinated chicken to this vessel. Add little water to make chicken stock and cook till chicken becomes tender.

Grind together tomatoes, onions curry leaves and green chillies.

Heat oil in a vessel and add this paste with little salt to this and cook well till oil starts leaving sides.

Now add haldi, red chilli powder, dhana jeeru and chicken masala and mix well. If you feel that the mixture is sticking to the vessel, add a little stock from the cooked chicken and cook well for about 5-10 minutes.

Now add the remaining stock and make gravy and let it boil for about 5 mins (if the stock is over, you can add water too).

Add cooked chicken to this and give another boil.

Garnish with coriander.

Serve hot with chapatti or bread.
