Badam Pista Barfi


This Diwali I was searching for a simple and quick idea for making something sweet. Came across this idea from a colleague who had bought something similar at work, So here it is, delicious and easy barfi recipe which take not more that 20 mins.

Makes about 15-20 pieces

Ingredients:
250 gms mava, grated
½ cup sugar
100 gms unsalted pista
100 gms unsalted badam
7-8 cardamoms
1 tbsp ghee for greasing the tray

Method

Heat a non stick vessel. Dry roast the pista and almonds for about 7-10 mins. Let it cool.

Add cardamom to this and grind to powder. Do not make it too fine.

Add the mava and sugar. Cook till it mixture liquid consistency. This will take about 7-8 mins.

Let small bubbles start coming on the surface. Give one last stir. Remove from flame

Now add the mixture to this and mix well.

Set it in a tray. Once it cools down, keep it in the fridge for about 2-3 hours so that it becomes firm.

Cut into pieces and eat. Enjoy!!!
